Hello, and Welcome!

I am Shelley, a native Texan who is passionate about helping people find a better quality of life through nutrition and lifestyle changes.

Through a sense of community, connection, and meaning centered around high quality real food, we begin to help individuals improve their lives by equipping them with the knowledge and tools they need to finally thrive in their own lives.  We aim to increase energy levels, and restore vibrance and better health to life once again.

Back to Basics: A Food Journey is something near and dear to my heart as I struggled for many years with chronic fatigue, and tried to find balance in my life.

I know what it is like to have no energy, feel your body strength declining, and wonder if you’ll ever be able to shake the extra weight causing problems with your health and self-esteem.  Nutrition and lifestyle changes greatly improved my quality of life.  I want to share what I have learned over the years with others who might be looking for a better way.

Join us and learn how to shift the patterns in your life, and create the life you desire.

Why do I call this site A Food Journey?

Because what I have learned over the years is that striving for a better quality of life, and navigating the needs of our always changing bodies is something that we choose each day through the small choices that add up to big changes.

It truly is a journey, and I hope that I can be a positive part of yours.

I hope you’ll join me! (click here if you would like more info!)

Warmest Regards,

Shelley

Back to Basics: A Food Journey is about food, lifestyle, and nutrition.

But it is much more than that.

It’s about who we become along the way…

Freedom,

 Community and Camaraderie,

Adventure,

and about Embracing Life.
